The Wheel of the Year

Merry meet to all of you Monday readers out there. I thought I would do a post today on the Wheel of the Year and that way if you are into reading this morning you certainly may learn alot but if  you have had a tough weekend, you can simply enjoy the beautiful picture:)

The Wheel of the Year is a Wiccan term for the annual cycle of the Earth's seasons. It consists of eight festivals, spaced at approximately even intervals throughout the year. These festivals are referred to by Wiccans as Sabbats.  The progression of birth, life, decline and death, as experienced in human lives, is echoed in the progression of the seasons.

Willow here: I Just Couldn't Resist!

" If the rich could hire someone else to die for them, the poor would make a wonderful living....lol! "

Just wanted to show you that I also can have a sense of humor....warped though it maybe.  Can anyone else think of things that the rich might have the poor people do for them.....besides the obvious, work? Have a great afternoon.

What Is Your Celtic Tree Of Origin?

Hi Everyone,
Since this is my first post, I thought it would be interesting to tell you a little about myself and if you desire, you can also learn more about yourself. I am Irish and my birthdate determines what tree is my " Celtic birth tree." I was born towards the end of April and so my tree is the Willow. In fact, that is what I call myself on this blog. Willows are the trees most associated with moon magic and enchantment. It is a feminine tree with great influence over the subconscious. It is said that people would seek out groves of Willows because of the amount of magic surrounding the area and that priests, priestesses, musicians and poets would meditate within them to gain clairty of mind. If your birth tree is Willow (April 15th - May 12th) you may feel an affinity to the following: Your color is: Silver. Your planet: The Moon. Your stone: Moonstone. Your element: Water. Your tree is known to bring you a deepened sense of dreams and intuition, prophecy and divination, healing and enchantment and lastly, Love. If anyone out there would like to know what your Celtic Tree of Origin is and what it means, just leave me a comment and I'd be happy to tell you what your tree is and what it means. Brightest blessings, Willow
